Annie over at phdinparenting.com has done a big survey of self-identified breastfeeding supporters. You can read about the poll, her readings of the data, and her thoughts: What does it mean to support breastfeeding and what does it mean to support breastfeeding part 2 A lot of it is very good news, but as always, I found a lot to ponder in a tiny 5 percent; the percent of self-identified breastfeeding supporters that strongly disagreed with the statement: Women should be able to breastfeed in public as long as they cover up.
of course, being a glass half full kind of person, I secretly believe they got confused by the question ;o)
So here’s a comic and if you are one of the thousand plus women who answered her poll, thank you, I love the insight into our movement!
